Jyra and the Excursion is one of nine beautiful children’s books by Lou Silluzio.
About the Book
Do you have a child who struggles to find the words to express themselves? Or perhaps you have a little one who continually loses their school notes? Either way, you and your children will find real-life parallels in this gorgeous tale about a little girl who does both!
Jyra’s parents have a surprise for her – a trip to the snow! But Jyra’s forgotten to tell them about a very special school excursion and she can’t find the words to tell her parents or the note that explains it all. What is she going to do?
About the author
Lou Silluzio is the author of nine children’s books including Milana and the Escalator, Max the Boy who Didn’t Believe in Santa Claus, Jyra and the Excursion and more.
Lou immigrated to Australia from Italy in 1957 when he was nine. Following a very successful career in building and real estate, a health scare convinced him to become the author he always wanted to be, and his children’s series was born.
Lou lives in Melbourne with his beautiful wife, Roberta. He is a proud father of three, and an even prouder grandfather of six. His grandchildren are the inspiration for his books, and he hopes his true-to-life stories will impart life lessons for readers of all ages.
